Starter checklist
A 30-minute emergency handoff.
Start with the basics your trusted person would need first. You can clean it up later.
Minimum useful handoff
- Write your top two trusted contacts and when each should be called.
- List where IDs, insurance cards, medical cards, estate documents, and car titles are stored.
- Write school/daycare pickup rules and backup caregivers.
- List doctors, allergies, medications, and pharmacy.
- Write pet care basics and the vet contact.
- Explain how to enter the home, handle alarms, and find spare keys.
- Map who handles bills, payroll, employer benefits, and insurance claims.
Privacy boundary: do not put passwords, PINs, seed phrases, full account numbers, or recovery codes in the handoff sheet.
